What we do at Titan Dojo

Titan Dojo is affiliated to the International OKINAWAKAN Goju Ryu Karate Association. Our objectives and activities focus on the preservation and practice of Okinawan Goju-Ryu Karate according to the teachings of the founder, Master Chojun Miyagi. We encourage the development of friendships and mutual respect through interaction via tournaments and communication with those who share our interests.


About Titan Dojo

Titan Dojo forms part of Kyoshi Rico Ludick’ South African OkinawaKan Goju ryu orginisation since 1995. We specialise in very traditional Goju Ryu Karate and also WKF (World Karate Federation)- Sports karate. Yearly, our students participate at KSA (Karate South Africa) Elite National Championships, Arnold Classics and international world Championships.


About Kyoshi Rico Ludick

Rico Ludick Kyoshi, started Goju Ryu Karate at age 7 (1975), in Lichtenburg under Sensei Alf Beckley SAGA. In 2019 Kyoshi Ludick was acknowledged as the National head of OkinawaKan Goju Ryu, South Africa - By Hanshi Kiichi Nakamoto. There are currently 6 Goju Ryu Karate dojos affiliated to Kyoshi Ludick in Pretoria, South Africa. Including his own Dojo - Queenswood Karate. Where he is the Headmaster of the Primary School.

About Hanshi Nakamoto

Kiichi Nakamoto Hanshi is believed to be the only remaining student that trained directly under Chojun Miyagi (Founder of Goju Ryu Karate) at the garden Dojo in 1939. When Miyagi Sensei passed in 1959, He continued training under Eiichi Miyazato Sensei at the Jundokan Dojo. Nakamoto Sensei is also the president of the Ryukyu Dento Kobujutsu Hozon Budo Kyokai. He is a direct blood line descendant of the Ugushuku Samurai Family.Grand Master Nakamoto is one of the the first Okinawan to be recognized as 10th Degree Karate Master by the Japanese Government.

Sensei CJ started practising Goju Ryu Karate in 2008, and over the past 12 Years he has participated not only nationally but competed Internationally. He Authenticated his International OkinawaKan Goju Ryu affiliation in Okinawa, Japan in 2019.
